Well Done UK Kennel Club

Over exaggerations have been causing big problems for dog breeds for many years now. Breeders seem to be hell bent on MORE IS BETTER and in the process failing to see the problems caused by this thought process when it comes down to the health of the dog and the function of the dog.

The UK Kennel Club has taken this on board, KUDOs to you for doing so. I hope the America breeders and the AKC are going to follow the UK lead. After all America is the birth of over exaggeration not just in dogs but many other things also; cars to to mind.

Take a look at these two Chevy s.

Now that's BIG!

Back to dogs.

Let us look at what has happened to the Irish setter over the years, left in the hands of over zest breeders who breed by the rule of MORE IS BETTER.

This is an Irish Setter of 1912.

Here is an Irish Setter of present day.

This one on the left is hunting.

While this one looks to have good coat length which would allow it to hunt while giving protection to the animal.

Breeders MUST stop this pretence of MORE IS BETTER if any given pure bred breed is to survive the attacks of animal right movements. These very exaggerations are used against pure bred dog breeders in an all mighty push to stop breeding of pure bred dogs.

The Irish setter is an excellent example of breeders loosing the plot!

P.S. For those who can not identify the over exaggeration, look at the length of coat (hair) in each of the images.
