Lost In Translation
I work in retail and have done since my first job with McEwans as a casual after school. NOW THAT is going back quite some years. During the many years of retail work I have been asked for help with the many different things sold or help to find a particular item in those retail outlets where I worked but the funniest things are always those which are just totally lost in translation.
On Monday when I came to work, one of the guys was telling me about a customer who was in on the week end asking for forceps.
Yes you read that correctly, FORCEPS.
After a few minutes of very carefully worded question, it was established the item this newly migrated customer wanted was in fact tweezers.
