Do Not Open

I received an email warning me not to open an attached file asking me to send it to all my friends, family and contacts. I have received quite a number of these since first getting my computer and learnt very quickly, thanks to my personal Tech Guy in Texas, USA, that not all these are the truth and nothing but the truth.

Below is the email warning I received yesterday and I have included it here for your information.

Oh yes back to my personal Tech Guy, I use to do the due diligent thing and send these email warning to all my friends, family and contacts . . .

. . . Well I only did this once because my personal Tech Guy wrote back telling me the email I sent out to hundreds of people was in fact not fact.

It was fiction.

It was a hoax.

Now I check first and if in fact the content in the email IS fact I forward otherwise I reply with a suggestion that in future check before you warn others and include links to Truth or Fiction and Snopes.



Get this sent around to your contacts ASAP...we don't need this spreading around.

You should be alert during the next days:

Do not open any message with an attached file called "Invitation" regardless of who sent it, It is a virus that opens an Olympic Torch which "burns" the whole hard disc C of your computer.

This virus will be received from someone who has your e-mail address in his/her contact list, that is why you should send this e-mail to all your contacts. It is better to receive this message 25 times than to receive the virus and open it

If you receive a mail called "invitation", though sent by a friend, do not open it and shut down your computer immediately This is the worst virus announced by CNN, it has been classified by Microsoft as the most destructive virus ever.

This virus was discovered by McAfee , and there is no repair yet for this kind of virus. This virus simply destroys the Zero sector of the Hard Disc, where the vital information is kept
