Personal Tech Guy

How lucky can a girl be to have her very own personal tech guy all the way in Texas!

And, AND he calls me!!!

Today I was ready for lesson my Personal Tech Guy wanted to teach me some time ago but I just wasn't receptive to the idea. You see I struggle with Files, Folder, Extensions and all that other computer stuff. I much prefer it severed on a platter with a smile . . . Yeah, yeah, yeah I know you are thinking I am just plain lazy but that is not it at all. The very thought of doing something new on the computer has me breaking out in a sweat, no joke. My palms are so sweating that sometimes I think I might short circuit the keyboard because all that salty sweaty water will drip down and find places liquids just should not.

So my lesson today was to create an Excel File that had headings at the top which did not move.

I first wrote to my Personal Tech Guy to let him know I was ready for a lesson.

Here is what I wrote to him:

remember I forgot about those xcel files I was suppose to send to debbie well I forgot since I remembered that I forgot and just remember again that I forgot so now that I remembered I thought I best get to it

He wrote back with two little words, "calling now".

He is just the best and I love him to bits 'cause he never ever makes me feel silly for asking the silliest of questions or writing the most confusing things but the BIG but, he actually understand what I am talking about.

He is real calm and real patient no matter how hysterical I get.

He always makes sure I know what I am doing and I am confident in what I have learnt.

The end result of today's lesson is that I can now do what I set out to learn and a little more. The confidence my Personal Tech Guy gives me had me doing some exploring and I know how to change the number of sheets in a single file, which is real handy for what I want to do and I know how to 'fix' more then one row of panels.

I highly recommend my Personal Tech Guy if you need help with computer stuff. You can contact him and ask what are his Terms of Service by e-mail.
