Australian Purebred Canine Federation Inc

This newly incorporated organisation aims to promote, preserve and protect purebred dogs in Australia and indeed help to do the same world wide. A visit to the organisations web site will give you more insight where the organisation is heading and what it aims to achieve. At a terrible time in the history of purebred dogs when Animal Liberationists and Animal Rights groups are joining forces to attack the purebred dog breeders, an organisation like this looks to protect the very thing purebred dog lovers enjoy; our beloved dogs.

In 2004 the purebred dog world witnessed the restriction on tail docking across each State and each Territory Australia wide, to some extent. The legislation varies from State to State, Territory to Territory but it does effect our dogs. The first reported case of tail damage to the Australian national Tail Injury Database was February of 2004 to a Pembroke Corgi. This image is pretty graphic so please supervise children viewing this post.

Restriction on tail docking is but one small piece of the hidden agenda of total animal liberation, another is Breed Specific Legislation (BSL). Queensland alone has killed 10,000+ dogs for no reason other then they "look like" and aggressive dog. These dogs that the Queensland government has killed have done nothing wrong except "look aggressive and dangerous". What kind of mind thinks it's OK to go around killing because of how an animal looks.

This is nothing short of criminal behaviour and certainly racist but of course we are only talking about dogs!

Who cares!

Everyone should care regardless of what breed of dog you have or indeed what your chosen pet is because THIS is nothing but a path to total banning of pet ownership.

But it doesn't stop there. The Animal Liberationists and Animal Rights extremists end goal is for no eating animals (you can forget the family BBQ or bacon and eggs for breakfast), no wearing animals (no more woolly jumpers in winter), no racing of horses (forget the Spring Racing Carnival), no fishing (no more boys weekend away), no guide dogs (well you're just going have to get run over by a car or trip and fall over that step and just plain get lost 'cause no more help from your guide dog), no nothing to do with animals.

These extremists groups have positioned themselves as advisors to our law makers.

This must change!

A.P.C.F. Inc aims to make that change with your help.

The organisation makes no claim to miracles or fast fixes.

The fight to save purebred dogs is a life long one but it can only happen with total unity from all purebred dogs.

As I look back over what has happened and how the purebred dog community just does not seem to be able to unite I think of a poem by Martin Niemoller, a Protestant Minister in Germany during World War II.

It's called First They Came . . .

First they came . . .

First they came for the Communists and I didn`t speak out-
because Ii was not a Communist.

Then they came for the Socialists and I didn`t speak out-
because Ii was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists and I did not speak out -
because Ii was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews and I didn`t speak out -
because Ii was not a Jew.

Then they came for me and there was no one left to speak for me.

Martin Niemoller , Protestant minister, Germany WW2.

The above quotation was written by Martin Niemoller, a Protestant minister in the Nazi Germany during World War II. He was an active opponent of Adolf Hitler, the leader of the Nazi Party. Many versions of these well know words exists and certainly the above may not be the exact original as indicated in this article.
